Wow - last week was incredible!  Corey and his guitarist Mike hit the road for an acoustic run in the great Northeast, playing Northampton, Boston, New York and Philly - and selling out two of those four shows!  It was a terrific run and we're so grateful to everyone who spread the word and made it such a wonderful trip.  Check out the list below for updates on some of the upcoming shows. From Pollstar.com's Odds & Ends:  A somewhat off-the-wall requirement included in Corey Smith’s hospitality rider isn’t about the singer/songwriter’s technical requirements. Instead, his prerequisite that each show include “One (1) sharply dressed, able-bodied Sherpa or Chuck Norris” is more about humor than available power or how much weight the stage can support. The guys had a terrific time on the road last week, wrapping up the run with a sold out show in Chicago, IL!  A big thanks to everyone who helped make that night (and the entire week) a big success.

Influential singer-songwriter Corey Smith grew up listening to NPR’s “Mountain Stage” and only dreamed of one day when his music might be a part of the broadcast.  Dream became reality last spring when Smith made his debut on the award-winning radio program just prior to the release of his sixth studio album, The Broken Record.

 Airing throughout the week of January 23 on NPR affiliate stations, this installment was recorded live on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown where Smith joined Todd Snider, Railroad Earth, Great American Taxi, and Sean Rowe.  To the delight of the audience, Smith offered a “first listen” and showcased selections off his then forthcoming album, The Broken Record.  This album exhibits Smith’s stylized story-telling and authentic sound comprised of lyrics, vocals, and instrumentation completely crafted by Smith.
